Marking a task complete or incomplete
Marking a task complete in Slack and in the Teamline app are a little bit different.
Marking Complete
In Slack
When Teamline tells you about a task in Slack, there will be a "Mark Complete" button. Simply click this button to tell Teamline that your task is completed.
To see a list of tasks with buttons to mark them complete:
- Message "@teamline list" in any channel (where Teamline is a channel member)
- Message "List" in a direct message to Teamline in the Apps section of Slack (click the dropdown to narrow down the list shown)
From the Teamline App
To mark a task complete from the Teamline app:
- Click on the grey checkmark icon to the left of the task.
- In the task details, select the grey checkmark icon at the top
- In the task details, select the "more" menu, and click on Mark Complete
- Select the task so it is highlighted in purple and type "C" on your keyboard [view more keyboard shortcuts]
Marking Incomplete
From Slack
When you mark a task complete in Slack, it will change the task name to have a checkmark and strikethrough.
To reverse this and mark the task incomplete again, simply click on the completed task and it will take you to the task details in the Teamline app.
Helpful Hint
When you request a list from Teamline in Slack, you can click the dropdown and choose to view only the recently completed tasks directly in Slack. You can also type "/teamline completed".
From the Teamline app
If you would like to reverse a task marked as complete:
- Click the completed tasks dropdown and select the purple checkmark icon to mark as incomplete.
- In the task details, select the "reopen" option in the purple banner of a completed task
- In the task details, select the "more" menu, and select "mark incomplete"
- Select the task so it is highlighted in purple and type "C" on your keyboard [view more keyboard shortcuts]
